Welcome Center: City trip to Aachen for international researchers
Winding alleys, charming squares, old and new fountains, and beautiful town houses—between historical heritage and modern lifestyle, we will discover the city's 2,000-year history together.
We cordially invite you and your family to a city trip to Aachen. During a 1.5-hour guided tour, we will discover the most beautiful places in the old town, including the fascinating Aachen Cathedral, the magnificent town hall, and the playful Puppenbrunnen fountain. But that's not all: on this tour, you will also learn exciting stories about the Elisenbrunnen fountain and the thermal water and listen to amusing tales about the chicken thief, the Fischpüddelchen, and the Bahkauv from our English-speaking guide. We stroll through the pretty Körbergasse and across the lively courtyard, see Aachen's only square and learn the traditional greeting of the people of Aachen at the Klenkes monument. Please register by email at welcome@uni-bonn.de (Welcome Center).
