The two-day workshop "Chair Management and Leadership" provides a basis for the efficient and effective organization of one's own leadership area and focuses on both management and leadership tasks as a junior group leader or (junior) professor.

Day 1

Strategic orientation and optimization of (chair) tasks and processes Structural framework for good leadership

Day 2

Getting to know individual leadership instruments Communicative aspects of good leadership Expectations within and outside the team Setting common goals Communication during conflicts

Coaching

On both afternoons of Day 1 and Day 2, one-on-one coaching sessions are offered to work on individual leadership topics. These can be booked individually with the trainer as needed.

Is there a charge for the event?

No. Human Resources Development will cover the costs.

An event is fully booked, is there a waiting list?

Yes, if an event is fully booked, we will put you on the waiting list. You will then move up if a place becomes available again in time before the start of the event.

Are the premises accessible without barriers?

The premises in the "Alte Sternwarte" are only accessible to a limited extent. If you need assistance with access, please contact the indicated contact person in time, so that we can support you accordingly on the day of the event.

Is childcare available during the event?

If you need childcare during an event, please contact the Family Office of the University of Bonn.

Are external persons also allowed to participate in the event?

In order to be able to participate in the training offers of the Human Resources Development of the University of Bonn, you must have an employment contract with the University of Bonn, be an enrolled PhD student, be active in research for the University of Bonn or be an associated member of a research network.

What does certificate or certificate of attendance mean?

For all our event offerings, you will generally receive a confirmation of participation in the event and of its contents.

In addition, we are currently developing a certificate offering along the three "Career Tracks": "Research", "Research Management" and "Business & Organizations". More information will be available soon on the related page of the certificate program: Postdoc plus.

If the currently displayed event can be credited to one of the three "tracks", this is indicated accordingly.
