Design Thinking (with Young Entrepreneurs in Science)

How much of an innovator is in you? Explore the Design Thinking techniques in small teams with the help of the online collaboration tool MIRO. Based on practical examples, you learn how to empathise with users, as well as brainstorm and assess ideas to prepare for the rapid prototyping finale.

Guided by our experienced coaches you will learn and apply the Design Thinking principles to refine ideas for potential products. You will understand the problem space, get to know the user and build empathy. Then we are going to find human-centred solutions by identifying the problem, developing a solution, and assessing the ideas. Finally, we will do prototyping and testing the critical functions.

No prior knowledge is needed.

This workshop for PhD students/PostDocs is part of the Bonn Doctorate plus program and units can be acquired. It is held in cooperation with Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES).
