Publishing research articles in scientific journals is a demanding task. It is a task sometimes rewarding and sometimes frustrating. As publishing is a prerequisite for a career in academia, it is important to approach the topic strategically.

The objectives of this workshop are
- to understand the publication process in peer-reviewed journals.
- to develop individual strategies for publishing research articles.

- understanding the peer review system
- knowing editors' expectations
- understanding reviewers' functions
- using different criteria for journal selection
- developing and refining publishing strategies
- knowing ethical guidelines related to academic publishing
