It’s actually about much more than that – it’s the foundation of responsible research and includes the core principles that guide scientific integrity. This half-day workshop offers an introduction to the essentials of Good Research Practice, including key topics and documents every researcher should be familiar with.

Description

This half-day workshop offers an introduction to the essentials of Good Research Practice, including key topics and documents every researcher should be familiar with. We will discuss regulations concerning correct data management and the authorship of
publications. But of course, the topic of plagiarism is in focus as well. How conflicts of
interest arise and how they can be solved will be stated, too. Cases of scientific
misconduct and the resulting consequences are explained through prominent examples.
Furthermore, we take a look at various documents of quality assurance in science and at
the Guidelines for Good Research Practice of the University of Bonn.
