Not Alone:
Solidarity and Action in Academic Life
How do we respond when a colleague finds themselves in a difficult, dependent, or vulnerable situation? This workshop takes a different approach to equality, diversity and inclusion: rather than starting with terminology and theory, it starts with a shared human experience: the readiness to show up for one another.
Through realistic case studies drawn from everyday academic life, participants explore questions that are often hard to address in traditional EDI formats: How do power asymmetries and dependencies shape what people can and cannot do? What does it look like when discrimination unfolds slowly and invisibly, rather than in a single incident? And what can we actually do, even when direct confrontation is not possible or safe?
Target Group: Women Scientists
