German Language Course (DaF) A2.2
A BIGS workshop offered by the Bonn Graduate Center in cooperation with the International Office.
This competence-based and action-oriented language course is aimed at doctoral students who want to cope with everyday life in German and, in particular, want to become competent in academic and work situations. Participants will attain the level A2.2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
The course is co-financed by STIBET-funds from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Online Workshop
Mondays, from 4.30 p.m. till 6.00 p.m.
Starting from April 3, 2023, ending July 10, 2023
In addition, e-learning “vocabulary-package“ for self-learning totaling 20 hours

Certificate
Participants who complete the entire course will receive a certificate confirming their attendance at the end of the semester. Missing two lessons and one e-learning session will be excused.

Key skills
Development of social and intercultural communicative competence in German, strengthening of learner autonomy and media competence.

Requirements
The German as a Foreign Language Section will send you an invitation to an onSET online language placement test to the email address you register with. Based on the results of the placement test, we will register you for the appropriate course.
Content
Participants will attain the level A2.2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) and upon completion of the course will be able to:
- Talk with German speakers and network with German-speaking colleagues related to familiar topics,
- Understand slowly pronounced and frequently used expressions in areas such as shopping, family and employment,
- Write about matters of immediate need in simple terms and basic descriptions of family and friends,
- Read short, simple texts containing frequently used vocabulary and shared international expressions.
