Description

By understanding very applied theories you will be able to add them to your toolbox. We will focus on communication skills that are essential for young leaders as they work with supervisors, employees, clients, colleagues or stakeholders, to name but a few. In this context, their conversational and negotiating skills are crucial to be able to communicate on the same level and to steer conversations in the right direction.

This workshop is designed for careers within and outside academia.

  • Leaders as role models
  • Motivation and enthusiasm as key success factors
  • The importance of communication for effective leadership: tools and self-confident
    rhetoric
  • The special importance of feedback meetings
  • Typical conversations at work and corresponding strategies
  • Convincing argumentation techniques
  • Aspects of team building and the prevention of conflicts
  • Establishing a healthy work climate

Creditable for the Micro Credential  'Leadership & Management'

Micro Credentials for doctoral students offer the opportunity to systematically add key future skills to your professional expertise. You can apply for a Micro Credential if you successfully complete at least four workshops from one area of expertise.
