Description
In this workshop, you will be presented with problematic case studies from everyday lives of early-career researchers. You will learn what the official regulations on good research practice say and what to do if you come into contact with misconduct. You will learn how to protect your scientific work and are encouraged to speak with colleagues and supervisors about important issues. Further, you will receive instructive materials and links to helpful websites.

- Definitions of good scientific practice and scientific misconduct according to local and national regulations
- Examples, degrees and extent of scientific misconduct
- Documenting the research process and managing research data and sources
- Authorship and rule breaches in the publishing process
- How to deal with scientific misconduct
