The workshop offers a compact and practical introduction to the basics of business administration for those who have not studied it. In addition to the explanation of typical economic thinking and theories, it focuses primarily on providing insights into the areas of corporate management, organization, controlling and marketing.

Description

The workshop imparts knowledge that is needed after entering the business world in order to understand and classify the processes in companies or organizations. At the same time, this knowledge is also highly relevant for the field of research management and, beyond that, for preparing for self-employment.

Content

  • Business administration in a nutshell: Which theories should you know and what do you
    need to keep in mind when working in a market-oriented environment?
  • Internal management: How are processes organized, implemented
    and controlled within companies?
  • What does corporate management, controlling and marketing involve?
  • Founders, managers and myself: How can I use business knowledge in the future? And
    what insights can help me right now?

Micro Credentials for doctoral students offer the opportunity to systematically add key future skills to your professional expertise. You can apply for a Micro Credential if you successfully complete at least four workshops from one area of expertise.
