How to Write and Publish a Review Article

Review articles contribute to the scholarly communication by summarizing available
empirical evidences on a topic of interest, by identifying inconsistencies or gaps in the
literature and by providing a framework for future research. In this workshop, you will develop a set of “how-to” strategies for writing and publishing review articles, increasing the chances of acceptance.

- Writing a review article: aims and importance
- The different types of review articles
- Planning and structuring a review article
- Organizing the literature review process (techniques, software, AI-tools)
- Publish a review: evaluation criteria and mistakes to avoid

- Identify the specific aims and types of review articles
- Familiarize yourself with the literature search process using databases and search
strategies - Analyze the key structural components of a review article
- Develop a strategy for step-by-step writing of review articles
- Understand the evaluation criteria for publishing a review article and develop a
publication strategy
