The Clusters of Excellence Hausdorff Center for Mathematics (HCM) and ImmunoSensation2 and the Transdisciplinary Research Areas TRA Mathematics, Modelling and Simulation of Complex Systems and TRA Life and Health cordially invite you to the 'Symposium on Interdisciplinary Research in Mathematics and Life Sciences'. Quantitative analyses and the generation of large data sets in the life sciences have been steadily increasing. This is often coupled with the desire to use existing data sets to make predictions about biological processes. New research fields combine mathematical modeling and experimental methods for this purpose. True inter- and transdisciplinary research approaches are essential for their success. The symposium aims to provide an overview of related research activities in Bonn, thus promoting local networking and new collaborations. Scientists affiliated with the University of Bonn or the University Hospital Bonn as well as local cooperating institutions can participate.
