The University's P26 invites you to a Dies academicus event featuring a curator-led tour of the new special exhibition "Neu! Gesammelt - genutzt- gedacht"

The new special exhibition at P26 presents new acquisitions and additions from the museums and collections of the University of Bonn. The ways in which objects find their way into the collections are as diverse as the collections themselves. Donations play a major role, but sometimes pose challenges for museums – for example, when the provenance is unclear.

At the same time, the exhibition shows how new technologies, methods and approaches are helping to re-examine and re-evaluate objects that have been in the university's possession for some time, thereby gaining new insights. These include material analyses, X-ray and MRI images, 3D scanning and digitisation.
Participation is free of charge and no advance registration is required.
