Description

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of game design and explore creative ways to communicate your science through play. You do not need any prior knowledge — just your curiosity and passion for your research. Collaborate, prototype, and test your own science-based board game. Bring your ideas from the lab to the table!

Content

  • Turn your research into a board game through agile, hands-on prototyping.
  • Use game design as a creative method for science communication.
  • Learn to work iteratively: test ideas, get feedback, improve quickly.
  • Apply storytelling, systems thinking and playful design to your science.
  • Bonus: Leave with a game prototype and new tools for sharing your research results interactively.
