Orientation Course

In general, your study abroad program in Bonn begins with a four-week orientation in March or September. The aim of the orientation is to prepare you in terms of language and culture for classes at the university and to offer an introduction to German life and civilization.

The course comprises 68 units of German language instruction at 45 minutes each to brush up and boost your German language skills. In addition, you can choose from different workshops on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Aside from these courses, we offer an extensive cultural program including excursions, museum visits and activities with students from Bonn.

In addition, we offer extensive assistance with bureaucratic formalities during these four weeks and guide you step-by-step through this process.

While the Orientation Course is an integral part of the Junior Year Program, it is optional for exchange students but we strongly recommend it. Exchange students need to pay the program fee themselves.
