Cooperating Institutions

The Bonn qualification and orientation offerings for doctoral candidates are offered jointly by the Graduate Center and its three cooperation partners: HR Development, the Career Center, and the Bonner Zentrum für Hochschullehre. Learn more about our partners’ core further-education areas here.

Bonner Zentrum für Hochschullehre

The Bonner Zentrum für Hochschullehre (BZH) is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating and carrying out further-education offerings for teachers, mentors and tutors in higher-education subject areas. It particularly focuses on basic qualification courses for higher-education didactics, which are especially intended for young academics.

Career Center

The Career Center at the University of Bonn is a service for students and graduates of the University of Bonn. The Career Center employees are here to answer your questions about career management and starting a career, to help you enroll for seminars and courses in application procedures and career planning, and to act as an information portal for all kinds of questions and programs related to finding a job.

HR Development

The HR Development department at the University of Bonn offers a wide range of advising services and seminars for academics as well as technical and administrative employees. In addition to the offerings for doctoral candidates, the HR Development program includes the “LernWerkstatt Führung” workshop (leadership principles for academics) and “Startkabel - das Einsteigerprogramm für Neuberufene” (an introductory program for new hires).

Bonn University Library (ULB)
