Presenting Science

November 19, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., Online course

Course content
PhD thesis, whether you’re holding a press conference or just seeking feedback from your workgroup.
To avoid disappointment: this workshop is not about body language but about content and how to make it as compelling as possible.
The workshop is hands on. It works best if you have a clear understanding of your research topic (as opposed to beginning to look for topics).
Learning Objectives
  • How to put it in a nutshell and bring across your key messages,
  • How to grab and hold your audience’s attention,
  • How to explain complex stuff in simple words – without being simplistic,
  • How to make better slides and visualizations,
  • How to make the audience get it,
  • How to make the audience care for your results.

Doctoral candidates from all subject areas.
