Course content
Many docotral candidates attain leadership positions several years after graduation -- be it in academia or in a non-academic field. This workshop is a mixture of theoretical input and practical exercises that equip participants with first insights and skills needed to lead a team. It covers different aspects of a leadership role: relationships with employees, communication and task management, and personal leadership style.
Learning Objectives
The Participants ...
- have reflected their own concept of leadership and are able to describe their (preferred) leadership style.
- understand better group dynamics and the influence leadership has on the related processes.
- know tools to delegate tasks and to motivate a team.  


Target group
Doctoral candidates from all subject areas.
