Stress Management Seminar for Doctoral Researchers

Five-day workshop offered by Healthy Campus Bonn in cooperation with the Techniker Krankenkasse on August 03/ 10/ 24/ 31 and September 14, 2020,  8 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., as Online Course or at Alte Sternwarte, Poppelsdorfer Allee 47, Room Pegasus (0.003)

Course Content

This stress management seminar is specifically designed to tailor the special needs and demands associated with the working situation of doctoral students. The seminar aims to support the target group in handling potential stress factors and shall facilitate the transfer of the coping strategies learned into everyday live situations. Within five seminar sessions, each lasting 4 hours including breaks, participants will learn different stress management strategies and participate in various relaxation techniques.

Important note: Call for study participation

 

In order to evaluate the success of the stress management seminar scientifically, Healthy Campus Bonn would like to accompany the seminar series with an intervention study.
The study comprises the completion of various psychological questionnaires and the performance of a non-invasive stress level analysis.

 

 

When will the study take place?

  • Time frame for Pre-Test: two weeks before seminar series 
  • Time frame for Post-Test: two weeks after seminar series 
  • Time frame for Follow up: three month after last seminar session 

Measurements take place on one self-selected day during the listed time frames for a period of 1.5 hours maximum. Interested volunteers will be contacted for appointments via e-mail.

 

Where will the study take place?

Online or at Alte Sternwarte, Poppelsdorfer Allee 47. Rooms will be notified via e-mail. 

 

Who can participate?

Study participation requires the absence of psychological disorders (e.g., clinical depression) and diagnosed cardiac arrhythmia.
