Course Content

Are you in the final stages of your doctoral studies or have you already finished your PhD and are thinking about your academic future? If you are planning a career in academia, raising external funding for your project or your position is often imperative. But where should you apply? How do you write a promising proposal? When should you begin the application process? Do German funding institutions offer funds for research projects abroad? All these questions will be discussed and answered in the workshop. Complementing the information on relevant funding institutions, the most important aspects of the application process will be practiced in short exercises.

  • Defining your own career goals
  • Finding suitable funding lines for your research project
  • Devising promising grant proposals
