How to Identify and Assess your Individual Competences

Two-day workshop offered by the Bonn Graduate Center on September 06 and October 11, 2019, first day 9.00 a.m. till 5.00 p.m. and second day peer group within 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., Alte Sternwarte, Poppeldorfer Allee 47, Room Pegasus (0.003).



At the end of the doctorate, the question arises as to what will happen next, which job, which field of activity, which organization and fallow a possible career path can be. In the seminar, you identify your competences, interests and experiences and discover possible areas of activity in the economy, in the public sector or maybe even in self-employment. The goal is the development of an individual application profile and career goal. In a peer group coaching, the individual profiles and career goals of the participants are presented, discussed and an application strategy derived.
  • Which career paths and areas of activity are there anyway?
  • What requirements and framework conditions do I expect in the public sector and in self-employment?
  • Which competencies, interests and experiences characterize me?
  • In which fields of activity are my individual competencies and experiences required?
  • What personal preferences play a role in career planning?
  • And what is my individual application strategy?
  • Impulse presentations
  • Individual and group work for self-reflection
  • Transfer Task
  • Peer group coaching and collegial case counseling

The seminar will take place on 2 days: Friday 6th September and Friday 11th October. In between, you are processing a transfer task
