at the earliest opportunity
The Department of Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Bonn covers the entire spectrum of modern nuclear medicine in clinical research and teaching. The department is equipped with two modern SPECT/CTs, a SPECT camera, a thyroid camera and a digital PET/CT device. All standard nuclear medicine treatments are provided on the treatment ward. Within research, Nuclear Medicine is part of the Cluster of Excellence ImmunoSensation and has close links to the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). The professorship should be actively involved in the Core Facility for Small Animal Imaging, which is currently being established. The development of an independent research focus and acquisition of third-party funding will be supported. Experience in modeling in the field of immunological or neuroscientific radiopharmaceuticals, demonstrated through publications and the acquisition of competitive third-party funding, is required.
The professorship is not associated with a clinical role. Involvement in teaching on courses within the Faculty of Medicine in German or English is required.
