Appreciate special scientific achievements

Awarding of the Initiative Prize of the University of Bonn, the DAAD Prize and the State Prizes

We would like to honor special scientific achievements and traditionally do so at the University of Bonn by awarding the Initiative Prize "Impulses for digitally supported teaching" of the University of Bonn, the Prize of the German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD and the State Prizes (Prix de la République française , Premio Rey de España, Queen's Prize).

The award winners will be announced and honored during the opening of the academic year.

Initiative Award

The Initiative Award "Impulses for digitally supported teaching" of the University of Bonn put a view to the conception of new and the further development of existing e-learning opportunities.The University is offering this prize for the implementation of outstanding initiatives in the field of digitally supported teaching.

DAAD Prize

The Prize of the German Academic Exchange Service - the DAAD Prize - honors special academic achievements, but above all also remarkable social, societal and university-internal commitment of a foreign student at the University of Bonn.

Queen‘s Prize

I.M. Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Prize - The winners of the Queen's Prize are selected within English Studies by a jury and confirmed by the British Council.

Premio Rey de España

 Premio Rey de España - the King of Spain Prize is awarded at the beginning of each academic year for excellence in Ibero-Romance Philology by the Spanish Embassy.

The winner of the Prix de la République française, Benedikt Schulte, stands together with the Prorector for International Affairs, Professor Dr. Stephan Conermann, and the university attaché of the French Embassy and head of the Institut français, Landry Charrier, in the University's Festival Hall. Prix de la République Française - With this award, the French Embassy honors work from all faculties that demonstrates a special knowledge of France and a special interest in that country.

Awarding of the State Prizes and the Initiative Prize 2020

The State Prizes and the Initiative Award for Digitally Supported Teaching 2020 were presented this year, inevitably under the impression of the pandemic, on September 23, 2020. As always, it was festive this year as well. uni-bonn.tv was there when the honorees received their certificates and briefly explained what characterizes their highly appreciated work.
