The University of Bonn places a premium on good communication so that everybody knows what is expected of them. This web page provides all the important documents about university life during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to a range of official laws, ordinances and orders, we have also uploaded internal university documents pertaining to the running of the University.
Legal Prescriptions
The 16 federal states in Germany implement the decisions taken in the regular conferences between the German state and federal governments held in Berlin in a range of ordinances, regulations and general orders. On the next level, the districts and district-free cities issue their own regulations. An overview of the most important documents is provided here.

Legal Prescriptions
The general order sets out the safety regulations for university operations during a pandemic, derived from CoronaSchVo. They focus on the safe provision of courses, practical courses and examinations. Further details are available on the MAGS NRW homepage.
In issuing the Corona-Epidemie-Hochschulverordnung, the Ministry of Culture and Science of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has provided the legal basis to permit the provision of digital teaching and examinations at the state’s universities. The ordinance has been subjected to a number of updates

The City of Bonn has issued general orders through which to enforce the specifications of the Coronaschutzverordnung. This includes for example, regulations designating certain open spaces as areas in which a mask must be worn. The Internet page provides a complete list of all the orders issued.
The Federal Ministry of Labou r and Social Affairs has issued a SARS-CoV-2 Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance regulating the necessary responsibilities and behavior in an employment context. The ordinance has been published on the Internet page of the ministry.
In addition to the regulations outlined above, a further number of regulations and general orders have been issued pertaining to a number of issues such as entry of the state of NRW, quarantine, testing obligations and the sequence of vaccination issue. They all require compliance. The FAQ page of the state government provides an overview.

Internal Regulations
The University has also issued internal regulations through which to adapt its operations to the exigencies of the pandemic. This includes Rectorate’s Resolutions, circulars and the documents from the occupational safety unit.Internal University Regulations
