Preliminary Course "Economics"

Course description

The course offers a recapitulation of high school mathematics as it pertains to the study of economics. It is primarily intended for first-year students who have not applied the math they learned in high school for some time because they completed a vocational training program, performed voluntary social service and the like. The course can be used to test one’s current knowledge in mathematics. The lecture “Mathematics for Economists: Basic Principles” in the first semester builds directly on the contents of this preliminary course. The preliminary course is an ideal opportunity to get to know the department and fellow students and to take care of organizational matters even before the semester begins.
