Getting (Back) into Studying On-Site
Dear students,
The focus is now back on studying face to face. With this portal, we want to help you rediscover a “normal” daily routine as we emerge from the coronavirus pandemic and give you a better overview of all the important topics and latest developments. You will find a wealth of suitable events and services for students in our calendar. Just like the self-learning courses and training offered under the Be EmPOWERed! program, our new Reboard Your Study Life workshop series is intended to help you get (back) into the groove of studying on-site.
We’re so happy to see you again!
Reboard Your Study Life workshop series
The new series of workshops entitled Reboard Your Study Life is our response to the last two years, which have been dominated by the coronavirus pandemic. They are designed to help you improve your skills and abilities with lasting effect and strengthen your own resources.
When putting together our new workshops and coaching sessions, we focused on the topics that students have mentioned in consultations and surveys as being particularly important for successful studying and their own personal circumstances. These include time and self-management, resilience, dealing with stress and exam anxiety, and procrastination.
The events will be held both during lecture periods and in semester breaks, and all of them will be led by trainers with a wealth of experience in psychology and/or teaching. Needless to say, they are free of charge for University of Bonn students.

Be EmPOWERed!— training and self-learning courses
The Be EmPOWERed! program also offers a range of free self-learning courses and training sessions on managing your studies successfully. It will enable you to strengthen your personal and subject-specific study skills, supported by selected free services from the University of Bonn and other providers.
Our self-learning courses and training programs fall into three categories:
-
#SkillPOWER (includes time management, learning strategies and study organization)
-
#HealthPOWER (includes healthy studying, relaxation and self-reflection)
-
#SocialPOWER (includes dialog, cooperation and student life)
-
#FuturePOWER (includes making decisions, self-reflection, handling doubts about studying and transitioning from a bachelor’s to a master’s or career)
Bonn University and State Library (USL)

Hardly anything is as inextricably linked to the everyday life of a student as learning in the library. Alongside its digital media offering, the University Library has now also reopened all its traditional in-person services, including using reading rooms, borrowing from the open stacks and textbook collections, and consulting items on-site.
Canteens and cafés

Back in the canteen at last! The Studierendenwerk’s catering facilities are open and ready to provide you with a wide variety of healthy dishes and snacks.
