DESCRIPTION:The Falling Walls Foundation has launched its “Global Call f
 or Science Breakthroughs” – an international competition seeking the s
 cientific breakthroughs of the year. The aim of the award is to recognize 
 research and innovation projects that address global challenges with new s
 cientific findings. \n\nThe call is open to scientists\, innovators\, inst
 itutions\, universities\, companies\, and individuals worldwide. The winni
 ng projects will be presented at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berli
 n from November 6 to 9\, 2026.\n\nProjects can be submitted in eight categ
 ories:\n\n- Life Sciences\n- Physical Sciences\n- Engineering & Technology
  \n- Social Sciences & Humanities\n- Art & Science\n- Women's Impact Award
  (Female Science Talents)\n- Science Engagement (Falling Walls Engage)\n- 
 Science Start-ups (Falling Walls Venture - each start-up must be endorsed 
 by a nominating institution and already have a prototype/proof-of-concept)
 \n\nThe application and nomination deadline is April 15\, 2026.
