DESCRIPTION:Fall Institute\nPart II: "Dualism and Non-Duality in the Age o
f Artificial Intelligenge"\n\nIn New York\, the focus will shift toward du
alism and the enduring philosophical importance of differentiation\, separ
ation\, and embodiment. The humanities have long been concerned with the s
pecificity of human existence\, arguing for and explicating the irreducibi
lity of consciousness\, intentionality\, and meaning. Against current tend
encies to ascribe autonomy or mental capacities to AI systems\, we will re
visit the philosophical grounds for distinguishing between artificial and
actual intelligence. This event invites approaches that critically defend\
, refine\, or transform dualistic frameworks.
