Intercultural trainings

Simply doing a stay abroad does not guarantee acquiring intercultural competency. It is necessary to actively reflect on the experiences had for a process of personal development and learning to take place.

Training content

Intercultural training teaches students theoretical input which they then immediately apply in exercises. Substantial intercultural experience would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement. The training is particularly recommended for people gearing up for a stay abroad but also for those studying in Germany.

You will be very welcome, even if you haven’t yet planned or completed a stay abroad.

Did you know? Taking part in intercultural training will earn you up to 20 points toward Component D1 of your Certificate of International Competence.

Participation

Registration

Only students enrolled at the University of Bonn can register and take part. Places on training sessions are allocated 50/50 to German and international students.

You will be sent more information about the training schedule and the relevant login details about a week before it starts. No confirmations of registration will be sent out.

Students completing the training will earn 15 points in the online format and 20 points in the classroom format toward Component D1 of their Certificate of Intercultural Competence.
