DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the Cologne/Bonn Academy in Exile (CBA) organizes
  a four-day winter school\, giving its fellows the opportunity to present 
 their projects and exchange ideas with their colleagues and CBA members. \
 n\nWith two public key lectures on January 22 in Bonn\, we will primarily 
 focus on the current situation of scientific exile of people from Ukraine\
 , Belarus and Russia in its social\, political\, cultural and scientific d
 imensions\, but also on experiences of exile beyond Eastern European confl
 icts in a historical context. The evaluation of existing research on the l
 ong history of knowledge and research in exile will be used as a starting 
 point to discuss our own precarious migrant experiences in the European sc
 ience system and to transfer them to an “ideal” idea of research in ex
 ile.
