DESCRIPTION:Equality\, diversity\, and inclusion (EDI) have become an impo
 rtant part of the way institutions\, including universities\, are trying t
 o foster an environment that is welcoming to all. This lecture by Prof. Dr
 . Caesar Alimsinya Atuire (University of Ghana / University of Oxford) foc
 uses on the concept of de-barriering as an approach to EDI.\n\nThe six-par
 t lecture series "Diversity in a Change of Perspective - Science\, Politic
 s and Society" takes place within the framework of the project Diversity a
 t German Universities. The individual lectures address various diversity d
 imensions as well as the topic of intersectionality and diversity at unive
 rsities in an introductory lecture.\n\nThe zoom link for the lecture will 
 be provided to all registered participants a day before the lecture. It is
