DESCRIPTION:Numerous studies have shown that AI reflects societal structur
 es and often reinforces existing inequalities. The Sportlight Discussion "
 Invisible Women - Gender Bias and the Future of Feminist AI" will explore 
 the origins and impact of gender bias in AI systems and examine how femini
 st perspectives can help mitigate these biases.\n\nThe event begins with a
  30-minute guided tour of the exhibition 'Her mit den Portr[AI]ts!'. Follo
 wing the tour\, the spotlight discussion will feature three 10-minute talk
 s by Eva Maria Hille (Department of (Social) Ethics)\, Hannah Greß (Workg
 roup Personalized Digital Health and Telemedicine)\, and Dr. Julia Maria M
 önig (Center for Science and Thought). Together\, they initiated the inte
 rdisciplinary network Feminist AI at the University of Bonn\, with the obj
 ective to foster critical engagement with AI and strenghthen the visibilit
 y of female researchers.\n\nFollowing the talks\, an open discussion will 
 be held.
