DESCRIPTION:The University of Bonn will start the new academic year 2024/2
 5 with a ceremony in the auditorium of its main building on Friday\, Octob
 er 18\, at 5 p.m. \n\nTraditionally anchored elements such as the ceremoni
 al entry of the rectorate and the deans in gowns\, proclamations\, the com
 memoration of our deceased university members and the rector's review and 
 outlook have been part of the opening of the Academic Year for many decade
 s.\nThe students\, represented by their AStA chairperson\, also publicly c
 omment on the current situation of the university and the moderation will 
 be taken over by students of the campus radio bonnFM.\n\nAll members of th
 e university - especially students - as well as the media and all interest
 ed citizens are cordially invited to take part in the celebration. \n\nReg
 istration for the event will be available on the event website from Septem
 ber.
