DESCRIPTION:Doing a doctorate often means working in international and mul
 ticultural research environments – in labs\, research groups\, and super
 visory relationships. This full-day training supports doctoral students fr
 om all faculties and institutions at the University of Bonn in developing 
 practical intercultural communication skills for everyday academic life.\n
 \nContent and Methods\n• Definitions and basics of intercultural communi
 cation and intercultural competence\n• Critical incidents from doctoral 
 contexts (research groups\, labs\, supervision)\n• Guided reflection and
  interactive exercises\n• Small group work to analyze intercultural chal
 lenges in academic contexts and to develop concrete\, practice-oriented st
 rategies for action\n\nTarget group: International and German doctoral stu
 dents from all disciplines\n\nStudents completing the seminar are credited
  20 points toward the D1 component for the Certificate of Intercultural Co
