DESCRIPTION:Today\, there is no place on earth untouched by humans. Man-ma
de change affects soils\, oceans\, plants\, animals\, and geochemical cycl
es. We humans have become a geological factor whose actions will have an i
mpact far into the future. That is why we speak of the new geological epoc
h of the “Anthropocene\,” which began in the mid-twentieth century. \n
\nProf. Christoph Antweiler uses photographs and objects to illustrate the
causes and consequences of this development. The term Anthropocene sums u
p uncertainties and fears\, but also hopes\, as societies and behavior can
change. Five sections deal with landscape change\, consumer behavior\, pl
astic\, urbanization\, and graffiti.\n\nThe exhibition runs from November
27\, 2025\, to January 31\, 2026\, at the University Museum. The museum is
  open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.\nAdmission i
s free. Group tours can be booked on request.
