DESCRIPTION:Join the screening of We the Cimarróns on Thursday\, 30 June 
 2022\, at 20:00 CET by award winning director and BCDSS fellow Emma Christ
 opher. This is the second film in our dependency-related film series coope
 ration "Who's Got the Power" with Förderverein Filmkultur Bonn. At the po
 st-screening talk\, we will get a chance to listen to Emma\, the director/
 producer\, as well as Garciano and Efrén\, two Yurumanguireño leaders fe
 atured in the film. They will provide us with an insight into the making o
 f the film and give us a very personal account of the threats that the Yur
 umangui community\, descendents of enslaved people from West Africa\, is f
 acing today. Everyone is welcome to join the subsequent reception at the c
 inema foyer for some further talks and networking.
