DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce that the 10th iteration of our BAEL c
 onference will take place in the form of a virtual conference in June 2021
 . Instead of a special focus topic\, this extended version of our yearly c
 onference will cover research from all areas and strands of Applied Lingui
 stics\, with three prominent keynote speakers representing different aspec
 ts of the field. Papers from all areas of applied linguistics are welcome\
 , with a strong preference for papers with an empirical approach. The conf
 erence is open to all who are interested\, but aimed specifically at PhD s
 tudents and post-docs.
