DESCRIPTION:To address wicked problems like climate change\, resource degr
 adation\, biodiversity loss\, and planetary boundaries\, there's a call fo
 r transforming food systems and bio-economies. Advances in robotics\, AI\,
  synthetic biology\, and nanotechnology offer new possibilities. Public\, 
 private\, and third-sector actors in agricultural innovation systems (AIS)
  work on transforming food systems with concepts like agroecology\, Agricu
 lture 4.0\, vertical farming\, and more. This shift makes AIS increasingly
  mission-driven. This presentation explores mission-driven AIS\, their bou
 ndaries\, policy roles in innovation and exnovation\, and the politics inv
 olved. Examples from countries like the Netherlands\, New Zealand\, and Ch
 ile illustrate emerging AIS in practice.
