 n Wang\n\nRobin R. Wang is a Professor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount U
 niversity\, an internationally renowned expert on Chinese and Comparative 
 Philosophy. Her Mercator Lecture introduces the Dui–Tong Problem—the d
 ivergence between correctness (對dui) and relational responsiveness (通t
 ong). Drawing on the Zhuangzi\, it develops Subtle Proximity as a Dao-base
 d logic of continual relational repositioning for navigating this tension.
  The framework is articulated through five theses and five Daoist epistemi
 c virtues\, offering an alternative model of intelligence beyond predictio
