DESCRIPTION:Doing a doctorate often means working in international and mul
 ticultural research environments – in labs\, research groups\, and super
 visory relationships. This full-day training supports doctoral students fr
 om all faculties and institutions at the University of Bonn in developing 
 practical intercultural communication skills for everyday academic life. \
 n\nContent and Methods\n• Definitions and basics of intercultural commun
 ication and intercultural competence\n• Critical incidents from doctoral
  contexts (research groups\, labs\, supervision)\n• Guided reflection an
 d interactive exercises\n• Small group work to analyze intercultural cha
 llenges in academic contexts and to develop concrete\, practice-oriented s
 trategies for action\n\nTarget group: International and German doctoral st
 udents from all disciplines\n\nStudents completing the seminar are credite
 d 20 points toward the D1 component for the Certificate of Intercultural C
