A large part of our work is organized as projects. This applies not only to industry or other non-academic fields but of course to science, too. Therefore project management skills are required quite often and are considered to be necessary for organizing your own research project.

Course Content
- What is a project? And how do you to approach it?
- Structuring of tasks and planning of project phases
- How to develop a Gantt Diagram
- How to define aims, identify risks and stakeholder
- The use of IT tools for planning and controlling a project and the related tasks
Course Description
The workshop adresses doctoral students with no or only little project management knowledge and introduces to basic tools and terms, including IT-tools and a glimpse on new trends like agile project management.
During the whole workshop, the participants will be actively involved and work on different tasks. As the workshop allows exchange and communication, please make sure your camera and microphone are working and ready for use.
