Building Resilience: Managing Change, Handling Risks and Coping with Uncertainty
A workshop offered by the Bonn Graduate Center
Good time management, the ability to make flexible plans that allow researchers to deal with uncertainty, and an understanding of how to establish a healthy work - life balance are all protective strategies against burnout, stress, and overwhelm. This workshop will introduce these themes and provide practical support for participants to implement them into their own working practices.

Course Description
In this workshop, participants will learn about the concept of resilience and how to apply its principles in their personal and professional lives via concrete, manageable steps. The doctorate can be a time of great stress even in the best of circumstances, and as the academic world recovers from the effects of the global pandemic this stress has been compounded.
