Many doctoral students attain leadership positions after graduation e.g. as postdoc or junior group leader. To develop your career in academia successfully, knowledge and skills in leadership are essential.

Course Content
- The participants are aware of different leadership styles and can distinguish as well as use them.
- The participants reflect on their preferred leadership style.
- The participants gain insights in communication processes and in the necessity to define aims.
Course Description
The workshop Leadership Skills for Young Scientists is a mixture of theoretical input and practical exercises that equip participants with first insights and skills needed to lead a team. It covers different aspects of a leadership role: relationships with employees, communication and task management, and personal leadership style.
