Description

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of programming in Python, an interpreted
programming language that enables developers to write readable and efficient
code quickly. Python has become a standard in both academic research and industry, making it an essential tool for a wide range of applications. You will learn key programming concepts, understand Python's syntax, and develop the skills necessary to write your own simple programs.

As part of the workshop, we will also explore how tools powered by artificial intelligence
(AI) can assist with coding. This includes using AI to improve productivity, troubleshoot
code, and generate ideas. We will give you a practical introduction to how AI can enhance your programming experience.

To get the most out of the workshop, please bring a laptop (along with a charger) and ensure your internet connection is working on campus (e.g., via eduroam). Alternatively,
you may use a tablet with a keyboard.

Whether you are completely new to programming or already have experience with Python or another language, I look forward to your visit!

Content

  • Understanding the basics of programming

Feedback from Participants

"The structure of the course was great! With not much programming background I really learned a lot, which was not usually the case with similar courses for me!" (Participant 2025)
