Your research holds potential beyond academia! This workshop helps you discover what that could look like in practice. In a hands-on format, you will learn how to work effectively with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT.

Description
The focus is on prompting techniques and on using AI as a sparring partner for structured thinking, ideation, and exploration. Together, we will experiment with how AI can support you in identifying real-world applications for your research — from societal impact and industry use cases to innovation projects or entrepreneurial ideas. Starting a business can be one possible path, but it is not the goal of the workshop.
No prior business or technical background is required. All you need is curiosity, openness, and an interest in exploring new directions for your work.
Content
- Learn to connect your academic work to practical challenges outside academia.
- Gain hands-on experience using AI to generate use cases, narratives, and next steps.
- Get a realistic, pressure-free introduction to what founding a research-based venture could involve.
- Practice framing your expertise in ways that resonate beyond your academic field.
Creditable for the Micro Credential 'Innovation & Entrepreneurship'
Micro Credentials for doctoral students offer the opportunity to systematically add key future skills to your professional expertise. You can apply for a Micro Credential if you successfully complete at least four workshops from one area of expertise.
