Mastering Grant Applications: Identifying Funding Opportunities and Crafting Successful Proposals

The acquisition of third-party funding is becoming more and more prevalent in the daily work of researchers. In this workshop, you will learn about the differences between the funding organizations, especially with regard to their structure and programs. This workshop will provide you with the necessary structure required for the proposal, how to organize your project, tips for finding the right partner/s to work with, and how to work together on making your proposal a success.

Description

In the first part of the workshop, you will get an overview of different research funding organizations, like the German Research Foundation, the ministries, the EU, various foundations and their individualised programs. Various databases, specifically for searching available funding, will be introduced to you and we can begin your search for funding during this seminar.

This second part of the workshop will focus on the essential four phases for a successful proposal. Professional advice surrounding the development, planning, writing and final phase will be given. Furthermore we will identify the appropriate AI-Tools which can be used to assist your proposal writing.
