First Audition? Applying for (Junior) Professorships

A workshop offered by the Human Resources Development

Anyone seeking a long-term career in science sooner or later finds herself or himself before what could subjectively be considered the biggest hurdle of a scientific career: The application for a professorship. The workshop provides you with advice and tips for your applications (focus Germany).
The seminar will first deal with the procedure and formal aspects of the appointment process. Afterwards, all necessary application documents (especially CV, cover letter, research and teaching concept) will be discussed and partly illustrated with sample materials. The third part of the seminar addresses the expectations and requirements in the hearing with the appointment committee as well as
important preparation steps.

The seminar is intended to give you a first overview
of the topic.
