Doktorhut - alles gut?!

The annual event “Doktorhut – alles gut?!“  gives doctoral students at the University of Bonn the chance to meet with representatives from a range of professional fields.

Experts from business, academia, academic management, consultancies, publishing houses, PR work and journalism – many of whom are graduates of the University of Bonn – share their experiences in a range of workshops and give tips and advice about making the transition from a doctoral degree to the world of work.

The workshops are introduced by an address from a careers advisor focusing on career entry with a doctoral degree; they are followed by a small fair with information and advice stands. 

This event was started in 2014 and aimed at graduates from the humanities; a second event for natural science graduates was started in 2016. Both events have been run every other year since 2017. 

”Doktorhut – alles gut?!” was organized in cooperation between the Career Service, Bonn Graduate Center and the Funding Advisory Service between 2014-2016; between 2017-2021 it was organized by the Career Service and the Bonn Graduate Center. From 2022, the Graduate Center of the University of Bonn is the sole organizer of the event.
