The new interdisciplinary section Global Health which hosts the Global Health Academy of the BMBF-funded German Alliance of Global Health Research (globalhealth.de) aims at the translation of basic research into health policies by considering clinical, environmental, political, anthropological, ethical and historical aspects in the areas of Global Health, infectious diseases and One Health. Based on cooperation with several African countries and India, working groups and PhD students of the Center for Development Research (ZEF) investigate solution-oriented issues of clinical care and public health in Low and Lower Middle Income Countries. The section coordinates the international MSc Global Health - Risk Management & Hygiene Policies.
