The Eifel region with its diverse districts and environments (extended forests, open country with hedges, meadows and pastures, great and small fresh water lakes [e.g. Lake Laach and the Maar lakes], Eifel creeks [Ahr, Elz, Urft a.o.], gardens and parks of townships) offers a lot of opportunities for the bird watcher and bird photographer. The upper URL links lead to sites with photos of birds (taken by the author, Jobst H. Klemme) which can be observed regularly in the respective environment. All photos were made with the “Canon” EOS 450D digital camera by using the “Sigma” tele lenses APO DG 135 – 400 mm or “Sigma” DG APO HSM 150 – 500 mm, the latter occasionally with the “Sigma” APO Tele Converter 1.4xEX DG. The copyright for all photos is held by the author, Jobst H. Klemme
